GM sold both a Pacific and an Atlantic Corvette. This is the Atlantic, a C5 convertible featuring 10-spoke chrome wheels, a black grille with metal mesh inserts, short-throw shifter, tech pattern rear diffuser, GM Performance Parts cylinder heads, performance exhausts and side cove mesh inserts. Price was $38,500.

Another big price was $198,000 for this 1989 ZR-1 coupe. Just four of these pre-production ZR-1's remain of the 83 built.

Cars come into the big white auction tent through this line. The red Corvette happened to be the first convertible built that for the '98 model year. Price-- $110,000.

Another healthy price was $150,700 for this 1990 Corvette ZR-1, labeled a "Concept." According to Barrett-Jackson, "This vehicle pioneered the advantages of "Active Suspension" and feature GTP Corvette racecar technology."

The 1999 Chevrolet Corvette CR5 show car sold for $50,600.

$19,800, including commission, bought this GM-owned "Corvette HO." Shane Lewis and Todd Hanks drove this Corvette in One Lap of America. Basically, this '94 model is a modified.

The Pacific Corvette, a coupe, brought more money at $46,200. It features a black grille with mesh inserts, a carbon fiber raised center roof, rear wing and rocker extension, racing seat belt harness concept, short throw shifter, aluminum sill plates and T1 components.

What would you think this 1998 C5 "Display Chassis" would bring? $35,200.

Reposing in the back lot we found three more GM pace cars-from left to right are a 1996 Camaro "Brickyard" pace car, a 2004 Corvette Indy Pace Car, and a 2003 LeMans Pace Car. These GM cars sold for $35,200, $110,000 and $27,500, respectively. Morgan Freeman drove the 2004 Indy Pace Car Corvette at the 88th Indianapolis 500 race.
