It’s been one of those days at work. Nothing’s gone right, and nothing can make you feel any better. But then, as you step outside the office building, you remember: I drive a Corvette! If you’re Brad Case of Williamsport, Pennsylvania, the Corvette in question is a Bright Red ’91 convertible. You take the top down, slide into the leather seat, and insert the key in the ignition. The 350ci L98 sparks to life—and things begin to look up. You pause for just a moment as the throaty sound of your Corvette’s heartbeat consumes you. Oh, yeah. That’s the stuff. As you ease her out of the parking deck, you decide to take the long way home, and what’s a drive in a convertible without tunes? So you slip your favorite CD into the Bose CD player and you’re on your way. Before you know it, you’ve left the day and all its worries behind.

Brad’s is a familiar story: “I have always wanted a Corvette and now I’m at a point in my life when I can afford one. I liked the body style on this one—and it’s a convertible!” Brad spotted this Corvette increasing the property value of a Ford dealership by its presence. It was about six months before the moon and stars aligned and he was able to make his purchase. Brad’s owned his Corvette for only a short time, but he drives it every chance he gets. The 60,000 “smiles” on the odometer prove he has a surefire remedy when he has “one of those days.”
