'67 Sting Ray Coupe And '93 40th Anniversary Convertible
In April 1993, I ordered an Anniversary convertible. I had the pleasure of being there from the bare frame to being in the car when the wheels first hit the concrete. The next morning, the car was completed and placed in the spotlight in the lighted canopy. The car was then taken to Campbell Chevrolet, where I picked it up and named it Rubyan.
Next to Rubyan is Rosita Grande, my '67 Big Rat with a 468ci, 650-plushorsepower engine built by Dana "AJ" Hager. Rosita has run 165-plus mph on the road course and 12.2 seconds/124 mph in the quarter. Rosita is street legal and driven every weekend. The suspension, axles, and rearend were rebuilt to tolerate the racing.

Attached is a picture of my daughter, Laura Grace, with seven of the Corvettes my father and I own. My father, Pete, owns the '66 350hp 327 four-speed, '77 L48 four-speed, '79 L48, and '96 LT4 six-speed. I own the '71 LS5 four-speed convertible, '90 ZR1 Lingenfelter, '93 LT1, and not shown is my '82 Collector Edition.
It all started when my father bought his '79 when I was in middle school. It sat alone for almost 15 years until I was able to buy my first one, and it took off from there.

Quasar Blue '92 Corvette Coupe
For years, I drag raced my dailydriver Buick Century. As I was staging at Brainerd International Raceway, the tower announced, "Here's a lady who drag races the same car she drives to garage sales." That's when I knew if I wanted to be taken seriously as a racer, I had to get a serious race car. The choice was obvious, and I started looking for a Corvette, but it would have to be distinctive. I spent hours drafting the design for the graphics and choosing the color scheme. I decided the lines of a C4 would lend itself best to the graphics. Then I found it-a Quasar Blue '92 coupe. I took the car and my graphics design to ABC Design & Graphics in Blaine, Minnesota. When I saw the finished car I said, "Now it's my Corvette."
