Wil Cooksey Corvettes - Wil's Power

When Wil's race Vette was in the works, he had the frame custom-built and custom-fitted to him, unlike other race Vettes that wouldn't fit.

The fifth-generation is the one Corvette series Wil is most proud of. Here's his '01 Z06.

Will Cooksey has been a Corvette man since his return home from Vietnam in 1969. He's seen here before another run in his '01 Z06.

The Cooksey Collection also includes this commemorative C5--the '03 50th Anniversary convertible.

Quality improvements, both year-to-year and generation-to-generation, have been a hallmark of Bowling Green-built Corvettes from Wil Cooksey's tenure as Plant Manager onward. His '03 50th Anniversary convertible is another example of it.

The black '07 Z06 in Wil's collection wears the first set of chrome wheels ever put on a production C6 Z06.

Wil also happens to own the No. 001 '08 427 Limited Edition Z06, also known as the "Wil Cooksey Special," equipped with special paint, wheels, and 427-embroidered seats. Only 505 Z06s were so equipped. Wil signed and numbered each car's armrest.

"Manufacturing Validation Vehicle" was the original term for Wil's '07 Velocity Yellow Z06. After taking it around to Corvette events, and seeing the reaction to the color (and the 427-inch LS7 under the hood), he added it to his collection.
