Install the new shock absorber: Jack up the trailing-arm assembly from the shock mount, keeping the jack clear of the threaded area. Insert the bottom end of the shock into the shock-mount threaded area and nut it. Raise the top of the shock to the frame channel where the shock was previously unbolted and bolt it back on.
