How To Add a Callaway Honker to Your Z06 - Sucking Wind

This photo shows two of the retainers that hold the radiator shroud in place. The one on the left is closed, and the one on the right is open.

Chris removes the factory air-intake system.

Here, Chris removes the radiator cover after unbolting four 10mm bolts.

Chris used a No. 27 TORX to remove the two-air filter retaining bolts that are secured to the front bumper beam.

Once cutting is completed, remove the piece and discard.

Use the twelve pop rivets included in the kit to secure the filter housing assembly.

This is how the shroud should look when the filter installation is completed.

Reinstall the shroud and radiator cover by reversing the removal procedure.

Install the Callaway Mass Air Flow Sensor (MAFS) to the rubber bellows.

Install the Honker assembly onto the MAFS and then to the filter with the attaching nuts. Check your installation from both sides to ensure you have all your connections properly secured.

Besides getting a big boost in performance, the finished Callaway Honker looks like a factory installation.
