NCRS Rides AgainThe National Corvette Restorers Society (NCRS) is a non-profit organization that focuses on the preservation and restoration of Corvettes, beginning with the '53, up to and including the '88 model. NCRS focuses on maintaining all technical aspects of the vehicle, and also draws together automotive enthusiasts and their families and friends to enjoy a common interest. Each year, the NCRS hosts and organizes a national convention, and this year's will be held July 13-17 in Hershey, Pennsylvania, at the Hershey Lodge and Convention Center, where car enthusiasts and their families can enjoy a fun-filled week of activities. Cars will be judged against Typical Factory Production, no-better, no-worse condition, which places them in different award categories. During 2003, 178 members performed judging duties at NCRS events. Members become a judge by learning the process. At the '03 convention, 333 registered cars were judged in the categories of Flight, Duntov, Bow Tie, PV, and Sportsman. The '03 convention was the largest to date with over 700 registrations, involving 667 families, 24 vendors, and 1,450 individual members. Besides the judging process, members and their families enjoyed tours, seminars, shopping, and excursions, giving them the opportunity to meet and bond with other automotive enthusiasts. Be sure to mark your calendar for this year's NCRS convention in Hershey. Coming EventsApril 18, Woodstock, IL. Skip's Fiesta Drive-In Swap Meet at McHenry County Fairgrounds.
