Sorry you are upset, but threatening to not renew is not the professional way to get our attention. With all due respect, our editorial staff has nothing to do with setting the print or display dates for any magazine. The date the magazine closes (when all ads are in and the magazine is sent to the printer) is dictated to us by our corporate production staff who bases those dates on what press time is available to print each month and what corresponding dates are available to distribute those same magazines. The food chain is quite large on a nationally distributed magazine like Corvette Fever.
California Dreamin' Revisited
I would like to know what happened to the Corvettes Charlie Lillard bought in your article California Dreamin' in the August '05 issue. What happened to them after they went to Washington? I grew up with the son of the owner that had them, and we would drive those things all over Southern California 15 years before they were shipped up north and stored for another 15 years. I own six Vettes myself and just wondered what happened to part of my past. Mike Gober, Oakhurst, CA The next time we cross Charlie Lillard's path, we will get an update on what happened to all the Corvettes and will publish it right here in CF.
Freddy Bruder Fan
I enjoyed the article about Freddy Bruder's '66 Mosport Green Corvette and his unique story. I lived in Rockville, Maryland, in 1966 and purchased a '66 Mosport green Corvette convertible. It was a lot of money back then for an 18-year-old, who only worked part-time at the Rockville Post Office. I would really like to talk to Mr. Bruder. I also remember the dragstrip in the photos. If you could forward this inquiry to Mr. Bruder, maybe he could contact me.Alan Norris, Denver, NC, 704/483-5237
We will do our best to get your message to Freddy.
