When installing or removing the rear spring, it must be unloaded fromthe trailing arm. Use a C-clamp to prevent the high lift jack fromslipping. The same procedure can be done with a floor jack. Place thefloor jack lifting cup as close to the spring bolt as possible. Thecloser you get to the differential, the harder it is to unload thespring. The axleshafts can be safely removed after spring removal. View Related Article
