Corvette Fever readers frequently e-mail or write us, asking if we know a good repair shop in their area. Of course, we have our Corvettes serviced locally, and have very little firsthand knowledge about shops elsewhere. We've responded with the portion of our Corvette club list that applies to their regions and advised them to check with local members. It was good advice, but we felt compelled to do something more proactive. Thus was born our campaign to solicit recommendations directly from you. Initially, there were some areas that were not represented, so we called, wrote, or e-mailed clubs all over the U.S. to get more information. The whole process took longer than we'd anticipated, but resulted in a more comprehensive listing. (It also resulted in shops wanting to advertise in our pages, but we accepted ads only from those that readers had recommended.) We inadvertently dropped some readers' names from their e-mails, but have otherwise listed those who recommended each shop.
If you haven't sent us the name of your favorite shop, it isn't too late; e-mail us at Favorite Shop (you can also e-mail cf@primediacmmg.com, but you should make your subject line "Favorite Shop..."). Look for updates in Inside Track. We'll also be posting and updating this listing on our Web site. We hope you'll find it a useful tool.
A caveat: All shops have been recommended by fellow enthusiasts, whose names we've listed and whose praises we've quoted directly. Based on their experiences, these businesses are trustworthy, but Corvette Fever accepts no responsibility or liability for any work they do. We will, however, accept information regarding unresolved problems readers may have, and reserve the right to remove repeat offenders from the list.
