Then there are only two Torx...

Then there are only two Torx bit screws and one nut that hold the units together.

Because of space, we placed...

Because of space, we placed the high power cable that goes to the back of the bulb outside of the hinge. There is plenty of clearance with all of the covers in place to allow for movement of the headlights. Placement of the cable to prevent chafing or binding is key to installing this system.

The HID bulb uses this ballast...

The HID bulb uses this ballast for the high beam. We mounted ours on the backside of the bumper, under the hood. It should be in a dry place away from the elements. There is one for each bulb.

Because we may want to remove...

Because we may want to remove the headlight assembly in the future, we used a single weather-pack connector to attach the green wire. We also put a short length of black shrink-wrap over the wire to give it the appearance of the other original wires.

We spent a lot of time on...

We spent a lot of time on the install, making sure the high-beam cable would not be damaged as the headlight assembly rotates. We made the cable loose enough to allow for movement, but tight enough that the excess cable wouldn't get in the way. We mounted the cable to the hood using one of the original studs for the headlight assembly.

We used the manual knob to...

We used the manual knob to operate the headlamp rotation several times before we were happy with the operation. Removing the covers will allow access to the wires and cables should you need to do any tweaking to get the right fit. Once again, this is the most important step of the install. Make sure you're happy with the operation before you put power to the system. Our fingers were getting a little numb by the time we were finished, but seeing the lights for the first time makes the effort well worth it.

The system comes with relays...

The system comes with relays and a harness to get power. We hooked in right at the battery for power. Since the original wiring acts as a trigger for the system, you only need to have direct power from the battery. Very straightforward hookup here.

The last thing we did before...

The last thing we did before trying the lights was install the fuses. Each light has its own fuse.
While it took us a bit longer to install our headlight system than to replace a bulb, the benefits of having more light when cruising down a lonely highway will make these bright white beauties a true investment.
