C5 Corvette Shifter Install - Shifting Into Higher Gears, Part 1

Remove ash tray. |  Remove plastic sensor cover...  Remove plastic sensor cover and T-15 Torx screw. |  Remove T-15 Torx screw at...  Remove T-15 Torx screw at lighter location. |  Remove T-15 Torx screw behind...  Remove T-15 Torx screw behind ashtray well. |  Slide rear center console...  Slide rear center console portion back. |  Remove front center console...  Remove front center console portion back. You can see here that the shifter boot is still in the car. While putting the complete shifter boot assembly under the console is an option when you install a new shifter (or shift boot), installing it this way makes it more difficult to access the boot and shifter.
