Remove front center console portion back. You can see here that the shifter boot is still in the car. While putting the complete shifter boot assembly under the console is an option when you install a new shifter (or shift boot), installing it this way makes it more difficult to access the boot and shifter. We will install the shift boot the OE way at the end of the install. View Related Article
