Metal parts require soaking in carburetor cleaner. Avoid soaking plastic, rubber, or nylon parts. The rebuild kit will include new gaskets, seals, and-most often-rubber pieces. Without scratching the aluminum, remove gasket material before soaking parts. View Related Article
