Sometime in the '60s, Fresno, California's Ed Thiebaud created the Vintage Corvette Club of America. It was dedicated to '53-'55 models. By 1973, he was known for having the earliest known/remaining '53. First- and second-generation Corvette sales were booming in the early '70s as teenagers became young adults and satisfied their dream of owning a Corvette. We paid Ed a visit in 1970.
